Stellar success for Hele’s Space Evening

NASA touched down at Hele’s School for the amazing out of this world Space Evening, hosted by our very own CCF Cadets.

The evening lifted off in the Main Hall (our very own Main Mission!) with a fantastic welcoming presentation given by CWO Prowse.

The events were held in the Maths block, affording easy access to all, with a peripheral musical event being held in The Studio. The music of the stars was performed by incredibly talented students: Micah, Grace, Amelia, and Rhys.

The evening boasted many once in a lifetime experiences, such as viewing and holding real moon rocks, Martian dust, and Meteorite samples (on loan to us from NASA for just a week). This section was also under the watchful eye of Mr Ramage, who, no doubt, breathed a huge sigh of relief once all the samples were safely back under lock and key and nestled securely under his pillow.

There were presentations on Artemis and Gateway, detailing why a return trip to the moon is so important, and you could even have a selfie with Tim Peake. Our very Miss Mason did just that and I've no doubt the ‘Peake’ of her evening!

The evening really was an amazing success, highlighting everything that Hele’s embodies, working together, not just as a school, but for the wider community of Plympton and beyond.

Thank you CCF Cadets for your incredible dedication and professionalism.
